This past week, I was unfortunately out of town for a convention, which meant I wasn’t able to be as productive as I would have liked, but we are now making up for lost time. Early in the week, I was able to read Em’s piece on Digital Humanists and Understanding It. It highlighted the idea that data isn’t just about analyzing numbers; it is also about experiencing it in a way that helps you discover questions you didn’t even know to ask. For example, this approach can transform numbers into flavors, images, or other interpretive references, creating a more nuanced, personality-driven exploration of information.
Later in the week, my Leganto team met to plan our next steps for the week. Alongside this collaborative work, I continued to chip away at my individual project. As I am leading the reading discussion for this week, I selected a paper on the implications of AI usage for people with disabilities. The study, conducted in 2025 with 124 respondents from a UK university, is highly relevant and timely, and I believe it will spark meaningful discussion among our team on Thursday.
In addition, I plan to dedicate more time tonight to my CC project, continuing to make incremental progress and ensuring that my individual work stays on track. Overall, despite the disruption from traveling, the week has been productive, and I feel prepared for both the team discussion and my ongoing project responsibilities.
