One full term of being a DSI! Two more to go!! This term was a lot of learning and I am excited for next term where I think we get to do a lot of applying of our new knowledge.
- We spent lots of our time using LinkedIn Learning and practice sites to learn how to work with different CMSs (WordPress and Omeka). Running them on a Local Host (you get to learn how to do this when your SSH isn’t working how it should). Learning how to fix SSHing into your communal host so that it actually works for future projects! Playing around with plugins and learning PHP along the way. Playing with CSS through the inspector tool. All in all, lots of fun 🙂
- Also I’ve been learning the process of using Git properly because despite my Computer Science Major I have taken my classes in possibly the worst order for myself but now I’m learning so yippee!!
- Looking forward to next term and maybe some collaborative projects and creative solutions.
