Hello everyone!
My name is Alvin Bierley; I’m from San Jose, California, and I am currently a senior here at Carleton College. I’m majoring in Computer Science, but also possess an interest in economics and statistics.
In my free time, I play a lot of soccer, enjoy working out, and love spending time outdoors. I also enjoy playing piano and chess.
I am the 2020-2021 Backend Web Development Intern for Digital Scholarship. I chose to pursue this role as I want to gain more experience in web development and learn more about the digital scholarship efforts at Carleton.
The intersection between academia and technology is extremely interesting to me; I’m really looking forward to being able to contribute to Digital Scholarship at Carleton and documenting my experiences on this blog!
